Women outnumbered men in Covington County in 2021

Of the 37,490 people living in Covington County, Alabama in 2021, 51.3% (19,226) were women and 48.7% (18,264) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by South Alabama Times.

Data showed the average age for women in Covington County in 2021 was 45 years, higher than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 425. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 3,423 men and 4,422 women.
