How many businesses registered in cities within in Covington County during October 2022?

There were 15 businesses that registered in cities within Covington County during October 2022, according to the Alabama Secretary of State.

This is 25 percent less than the month before, when 20 businesses were registered.

Andalusia registered the most businesses in Covington County.

More than 99 percent of Alabama's businesses are considered small, with more than 47 percent of Alabama's employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A Civic Economics study found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
