A large crowd gathered Friday morning at Walmart for a celebration including the unveiling of the store's new renovations, longtime employee recognition, and a presentation of local community grants that include the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce Camellia Girl and Chamber Page Ambassador Program and the Greenville Fire Department.
Greenville Walmart currently employees 244 associates at its Willow Lane location.
During the event, guests had an opportunity to meet the new general manager, Richard Gilliland. Richard and his wife, Michael, and daughter, Gracyn, have moved to Greenville and look forward to getting to know everyone in the Camellia City.
Guests enjoyed cupcakes, hotdogs, cokes, and music.
