Rep. Barry Moore, representing Alabama’s 2nd district in Congress, expressed his views on recent developments relating to Alabama and the U.S. budget in a series of tweets. Since replacing Martha Roy in 2021, Moore has continuously advocated for issues pertinent to his constituents. He previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives and holds an academic background from Auburn University.

On May 2, 2025, Moore shared his sentiments by stating that “President Trump is right. Alabama has given our nation some of its greatest inventions, heroes, and victories. That legacy grows even stronger this month as graduates across the state begin their promising future in America’s Golden Age!”, indicating his pride in Alabama’s contributions and the new graduates’ potential.

Later the same day, Moore commented on fiscal matters by noting that “President Trump’s budget is a bold step toward fiscal responsibility. Restoring the pre-Covid funding levels reins in the reckless, wasteful spending we’ve seen in Washington for too long. Looking forward to working with President Trump to get this budget across the finish”, reflecting his support for the current administration’s budgetary strategy.

The following day, May 3, 2025, he tweeted about the President’s achievements in his second term, stating that “Just over 100 days into his second term and President Trump just keeps winning for the American people! “, emphasizing his continued support for the President’s policies and successes in office.

These tweets coincide with Moore’s engagement in legislative efforts and his political career, which began in the Alabama House of Representatives and continues in Congress. He remains a resident of Enterprise, Alabama, advocating for the interests of his district and state.
