Rep. Barry Moore, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, has shared his views on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Moore, who succeeded Martha Roy and previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018, is an advocate for policies promoted by former President Donald Trump.

On June 16, 2025, Moore expressed support for what he described as “the biggest tax cuts in American history,” referring to legislation proposed by former President Trump. He stated that the bill would help end inflation, raise wages, and strengthen the military. He characterized it as a victory for Americans: “The biggest tax cuts in American history, ending inflation, raising wages, and strengthening our military – President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill is a win for the American people! “

In another tweet dated June 17, 2025, Moore highlighted Trump’s efforts to secure U.S. borders and ensure community safety. He mentioned “The Trump Effect” as having tangible impacts on national security: “President Trump continues to secure our borders and ensure our communities and the American people are safe! The Trump Effect is real! “

On June 18, 2025, Moore addressed an incident involving an illegal immigrant attacking a federal officer in Alabama. He emphasized Trump’s legislative measures aimed at restoring order through border wall completion and enhanced deportation capabilities: “Another illegal immigrant attacking a federal officer – not in Los Angeles or El Paso – but right here in Alabama. President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill restores order by finishing our border wall and increasing deportation capabilities!”

Barry Moore was born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966 and resides in Enterprise. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
