Barry Moore comments on Daniel Penny's acquittal and legislative actions

Rep. Barry Moore, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 2nd district, recently shared several updates on his social media account. Moore, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Martha Roy, used the platform to express his views and announce legislative initiatives.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Barry Moore tweeted about the acquittal of Daniel Penny. He described Penny as "an American hero and former Marine" who was "politically targeted by Alvin Bragg for stepping up to protect innocent lives." Moore celebrated Penny's acquittal with the exclamation "NOT GUILTY!" and expressed blessings for him and his family. The full tweet can be found here.

The following day, on December 10, 2024, Moore posted a brief message encouraging followers to tune in to an unspecified event or broadcast. The original tweet is available here.

Later that day, Moore announced his support for H.R. 374, known as the “Abolish the ATF Act,” which he co-sponsored alongside Rep. Eric Burlison. In his tweet, Moore criticized the ATF for allegedly violating Americans' Second Amendment rights and called for an end to what he termed "unconstitutional overreach." The announcement can be viewed here.
