There were 14 businesses registered in cities across Conecuh County during Q4 2022

There were 14 businesses that registered in cities within Conecuh County during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to the Alabama Secretary of State.

This is 13 percent less than the quarter before, when 16 businesses were registered.

Evergreen registered the most businesses in Conecuh County.

More than 99 percent of Alabama's businesses are considered small, with more than 47 percent of Alabama's employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A Civic Economics study found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
