How many businesses registered across cities in Butler County during Q4 2022?

There were 13 businesses that registered in cities within Butler County during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to the Alabama Secretary of State.

This is 38 percent less than the quarter before, when 21 businesses were registered.

Greenville registered the most businesses in Butler County.

More than 99 percent of Alabama's businesses are considered small, with more than 47 percent of Alabama's employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A Civic Economics study found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
