Legislative Assembly of Northern Ireland Come to Alabama and Tour the National Computer Forensics Institute | Alabama District Attorneys Association
Today, we were honored to have the Legislative Assembly of Northern Ireland come to Alabama and tour the National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI). Barry Matson, Executive Director of the ADAA pictured far right, explained the need for this facility and how significant the impact has been for not just Alabama but all of the United States.
The NCFI is a cyber training facility created by the Department of Homeland Security, the State of Alabama, the U.S. Secret Service, the Alabama District Attorneys Association, and the City of Hoover. This innovative facility, along with strategic partnerships, substantially enhances law enforcement efforts to suppress the continually evolving and increasing number of electronic crime cases affecting communities nationwide and improve and strengthen the prosecution and adjudication of those cases. NCFI has trained over 13,000 individuals from all 50 states and 5 U.S. territories.
