A large crowd gathered Thursday for a ribbon cutting, tour, and open house for the newly renovated first floor of the Butler County Courthouse and the brand new Butler County Sheriff's Office facility.
County commissioners greeted guests and provided an overview about renovations and plans.
The courthouse renovations included a handicapped accessible elevator and first floor restrooms.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office has moved in to a brand new facility allowing all staff to be housed inside one building as well as a waiting area, interview and equipment area. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to meet and greet staff, tour the new facility, enjoy refreshments, and joined the ribbon cutting ceremony.
