It’s always a great day of teaching and learning at the WDC!!
This has truly been a unique year at the Workforce Development Center. Teachers and students were challenged to go ahead and take a leap towards being great in all areas of the workforce. I am proud that our dual enrollment (RSTC) welding instructor Mr. Hill Harper was able to take 2 deserving young men down to Mobile, Alabama for Austal’s Hire A Senior Day on May 26.
Our jobs as educators and leaders is to provide students with the necessary tools to be able to take advantage of experiences.
The young men represented here are Zach, HHS Class of 2022 and Dequez, Clarke County Schools Class of 2022! Zach was one of our dual enrollment welding students at the WDC. Dequez graduated with his NCCER Certification.
This year we were only able to take two but next year we are coming stronger and better! Don’t believe us just watch the dynamic Workforce Development team in action! Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We truly appreciate each of you!
As always, thank you to our superintendent of schools for always saying yes and showing up at each of the WDC initiatives without hesitation.
