Census Bureau: More women than men in Jackson city in 2019

Of the 4,781 people living in Jackson city in 2019, 56.1 percent (2,680) were women and 43.9 percent (2,101) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Alabama Times.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 1,543-to-1,266. In the 65 and over age range, there were 584 females and 417 males.
