CRENSHAW COUNTY SCHOOLS: COVID-19 Week 16 update

Coronavirus update920

Crenshaw County Schools issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.

Crenshaw County Schools had 3 students with COVID-19 symptoms. None of those have been cleared to return at this time.

In addition, a total of 8 students and 5 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 since the last update.  However, 3 of those were already in quarantine.  These students/staff were on the campuses of Brantley, Luverne, Highland Home, and the central office.

The ADPH has been notified accordingly by the school nurse and we are following the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the ADPH.

To date, Crenshaw County Schools has had a total of 54 students and 25 staff members with a positive COVID-19 test result.  As you can see, our COVID-19 results have continued to increase during the week.  We encourage you to remind your child(ren) of the importance of social distancing when possible, washing hands frequently, and wearing a mask.  As always, the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff is of the most importance.

Thank you for your continued support and patience during the 2020-2021 school year.
