Crenshaw County Schools issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.
Crenshaw County Schools had 4 students/staff with COVID-19 symptoms. Only one of those 4 have been cleared to return to school, with 1 awaiting test results.
In addition, a total of 7 students and 3 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 since the last update. However, 2 of those were already in quarantine. These students/staff were on the campuses of Brantley, Luverne, and Highland Home.
The ADPH has been notified accordingly by the school nurse and we are following the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the ADPH.
To date, Crenshaw County Schools has had a total of 46 students and 20 staff members with a positive COVID-19 test result. As you can see, our COVID-19 results have continued to increase during the week. We encourage you to remind your child(ren) of the importance of social distancing when possible, washing hands frequently, and wearing a mask. As always, the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff is of the most importance.
