Crenshaw County Schools issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.
Crenshaw County Schools had 9 students and 2 staff members with COVID-19 symptoms. All students and staff sent home with symptoms have been cleared to return to school with the exception of 2 students who are awaiting test results.
In addition, a total of 3 students and 4 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 this week. The students/staff with symptoms and positive test results were on the campuses of Brantley, Luverne, Highland Home, and the Central Office.
The ADPH has been notified accordingly by the school nurse and we are following the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the ADPH.
To date, Crenshaw County Schools has had a total of 7 students and 8 staff members with a positive COVID-19 test result. As you can see our COVID-19 results have increased during the week. We encourage you to remind your child(ren) of the importance of social distancing when possible, washing hands frequently, and wearing a mask. As always, the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff is of the most importance.
