City of Andalusia issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.

After-School Mentor The City of Andalusia Parks and Recreation Department is searching for applicant referrals to fill available positions for A.P.P.L.E. Program Mentors. 

Approved applicants will be employed by the Three Notch Staffing Agency and will be placed on-site to work at the A.P.P.L.E Program. Employees will be responsible for supervising children and assuring a safe play/work area for all activities under your direction.The nature of this work requires developing a warm and trusting relationship with the children under your care. The ability to prepare and schedule age-appro-priate activities is necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of training and/or experience equivalent to: • Minimum completion of high school or beyond. • Possess a valid Alabama driver's license as issued by the Alabama Department of Public Safe-ty. • Ability to work non-standard hours. • Must maintain a valid telephone number. • Successful completion of required pre-employment tests as administered by the appointing authority. • Must successfully complete drug screen and background check Entry salary range:To be determined by experience Interested and qualified individuals may forward their resume to Program Coordinator, Son-dra Ramsden at Sondra.Ramsden@cityofandalusia.com. All qualified applicants will be referred to Three Notch Staffing Agency to complete their hiring process. Once the hiring process is successfully complete, the employee would begin work as coordinated by both Three Notch Staffing and the Parks & Recreation Director.
