Lurleen B Wallace Community College issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
An official signing ceremony was held at the Greenville campus to establish the Sierra Newman Scholarship. A benefit concert was held in January 2020 to raise funds for the memorial scholarship honoring Sierra who was an LBWCC student and Ensemble member. This scholarship was made possible, in part, by the generous contributions of family, community members and friends.
To help support this scholarship effort, donations may be made online at lbwcc.edu on the foundation page through PayPal. Or, checks may be made payable to the LBWCC Foundation with a notation of “Sierra Newman Scholarship” and mailed to P.O. Box 1311, Andalusia, AL 36420.
