Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media from March 6 to March 8, 2026, addressing national security, election legislation, and sharing a biblical passage.

On March 6, Moore commented on Senate Democrats’ actions regarding Department of Homeland Security funding amid international tensions: “With heightened threats from the Iranian Regime and its proxies, Senate Democrats refuse to pass critical DHS funding.

@POTUS is protecting Americans by removing the Iranian Regime through Operation Epic Fury, why won’t @SenSchumer protect Americans at home?”

The following day, Moore addressed election security and called for Senate action: “This is a 90%-10% issue. The American people, regardless of political affiliation, want this passed by the Senate.

Pass the SAVE America Act and secure our elections now.” (March 7).

On March 8, he shared a religious message quoting scripture: ‘”Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions — it is by grace you have been saved.” – Ephesians 2:4-5’.

Moore has served as Alabama’s representative since replacing Martha Roy in Congress in 2021. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966 and currently residing in Enterprise at age 56, Moore graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
