Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of updates on his social media accounts, ranging from a child’s reunion with her family to comments on the ongoing government shutdown.
On October 4, 2025, Moore posted about his involvement in reuniting a young girl with her family: “Three year old Kionni is reunited with her family and my team was honored to be a part of facilitating the reunion. I want to thank the DHS, U.S. Marshals, CBP and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department for their help. Please pray for her and her family during this time.”
The following day, October 5, he shared a Bible verse: ‘”Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.” – Psalm 34:3’
On October 6, Moore commented on legislative matters amid a government shutdown: “Six days into a government shutdown and House Republicans have done our job, time for Democrats to do theirs.”
Moore has represented Alabama’s 2nd District in Congress since 2021 after replacing Martha Roy. He previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and was born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966. He resides in Enterprise and graduated from Auburn University in 1992.
