Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on his official X account over the weekend, addressing military families, quoting scripture, and expressing gratitude for Alabama farmers.
On October 11, 2025, Moore posted: “Thank you, Mr. President, for your commitment to our military families. It’s past time for the Democrats to open the government!” The statement comes amid ongoing debates over government funding.
The following day, October 12, Moore cited scripture in a post: “‘Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.’ – Psalm 34:12-13”
Later that same day, Moore expressed support for the agricultural community: “Today, and everyday, I am thankful for our farmers who work hard every day to feed our families and keep our economy strong. Grateful for their commitment to stewarding the land. God bless our Alabama farmers! “
Moore has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Martha Roy and previously held a seat in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966, he currently resides in Enterprise and graduated from Auburn University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
