Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media reflecting on faith, military service, and national gratitude.
On November 9, 2025, Moore posted a Bible verse: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13.
The following day, November 10, he commemorated a significant military anniversary: Today, we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United State Marine Corps – these brave men and women have stood on the front lines defending our freedom since 1775. Semper Fi to every Marine, past and present. https://t.co/8iLdiiISML.
On Veterans Day, November 11, Moore expressed his appreciation for those who have served in the armed forces: Veterans Day is a reminder of what real service and sacrifice look like. I’m grateful today and every day for the men and women who put faith, duty and country above themselves. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America. https://t.co/7wohl8KekU.
Moore has represented Alabama’s 2nd congressional district since replacing Martha Roy in 2021. Before joining Congress, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966 and currently residing in Enterprise at age 56, Moore graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
