Rep. Barry Moore, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, posted a series of statements on December 10, 2025, highlighting legislative priorities and recent congressional actions.

In his first post on December 10, Moore addressed concerns about immigration and driving under the influence: “The illegal alien responsible for this tragedy should’ve never been in the country to begin with, but especially not after two prior DUIs. H.R. 875, my bill to immediately deport illegals who drive drunk, could’ve prevented this.”

Later that day, Moore called for changes to Senate procedures in order to advance Republican legislative goals: “Daily reminder that Republicans need to NUKE the filibuster and help @POTUS save America!”

In a third statement on December 10, Moore expressed support for military personnel pay increases: “Proud of the conservative wins in this bill, but most proud of the pay raise @HouseGOP just approved for our nation’s men and women in uniform!”

Barry Moore was born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966 and currently resides in Enterprise. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018.
