Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to share updates on legislative efforts and commentary on current political events.

On November 6, 2025, Moore posted about an upcoming radio appearance: “Looking forward to joining @jeff_poor on the @JeffPoorShow at 11:30am central time! Make sure to tune in!”

Later that day, he commented on ongoing government negotiations, stating: “In other words, Democrats are continuing to make the American people suffer so they can get ‘concessions’ that they think help them politically. Open the government and then we can negotiate policy.” This post reflects Moore’s position regarding recent congressional disputes over government funding.

On November 7, 2025, Moore announced new legislation: “If you’re willing to prescribe it, you should be willing to label it. I’m proud to introduce the LABEL Act which restores accountability, ensuring no one can hide from the consequences of taking a life.”

Barry Moore has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Martha Roy. Before his tenure in Washington D.C., he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966 and currently residing in Enterprise, Moore graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
