Rep. Barry Moore, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 2nd district, shared several updates and reflections through his social media platform. His posts highlighted recent legislative developments, economic impacts attributed to former President Trump, and expressed condolences for a tragic incident.
On May 21, 2025, Rep. Moore remarked on the impact of former President Trump’s policies on energy costs: “Thanks to President Trump, your gas bill will look a lot different than it did this time last year!” This comment suggests a positive change in gas prices compared to the previous year.
The following day, May 22, 2025, Moore provided an update from Capitol Hill after an extensive session: “It was a long night on the House floor but Republicans just delivered on the American people’s mandate by passing President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill!” He emphasized that this legislation maintains historic tax cuts, secures funding for border security for years ahead, and aims to reduce waste and fraud.
Later that same day, Moore expressed his sorrow over a violent incident at the Capital Jewish Museum: “I am heartbroken to hear about Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky who were senselessly murdered last night at the Capital Jewish Museum.” He condemned antisemitism and called for prayers for those affected by the tragedy.
Barry Moore has been serving in Congress since replacing Martha Roy in 2021. Before his congressional tenure, he was part of the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966 and currently residing in Enterprise, he is an alumnus of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree obtained in 1992.
