Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media between September 1 and September 3, 2025, addressing Labor Day and recent developments regarding Space Command.
On September 1, Moore extended greetings to American workers: “Happy Labor Day to the men and women who make our nation strong and ensure our economy continues to grow!”
The following day, he commented on President Biden’s announcement about Space Command: “My statement on @POTUS’ announcement that Space Command is coming to Alabama:”
On September 3, Moore further addressed the decision: “The decision to keep Space Command out of Alabama was a political move by the Biden Administration. Thank you @POTUS for making the decision to rightfully move it to Alabama, where it belongs.”
Barry Moore has represented Alabama’s 2nd District in Congress since 2021 after serving in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. He was born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966 and currently resides in Enterprise. Moore graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
