Rep. Barry Moore, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, posted a series of statements on his social media accounts in early September 2025 addressing border security policies, public safety in American cities, and an incident involving Charlie Kirk.
On September 9, 2025, Moore criticized the Biden administration’s approach to border policy, stating: “We were told for years under the Biden administration that this wasn’t possible. Of course that was a lie. President Trump’s border policies work and Americans are safer with him in office.”
The following day, Moore addressed Democratic mayors regarding urban safety and former President Trump’s involvement. In his post dated September 10, 2025, he wrote: “Democrat mayors should be lining up at the door to ask President Trump for his help in making their cities safe. Thank you for caring about the American people, Mr. President! “
Later on September 10, Moore responded to news of an incident involving political commentator Charlie Kirk by asking for prayers: “Everyone please pray with Heather and I for Charlie Kirk who was just shot at an event in Utah.”
Barry Moore has represented Alabama’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Martha Roy in 2021 and previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966, Moore currently resides in Enterprise and is a graduate of Auburn University (1992).
