Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues on his social media account on December 15, 2025, including a recent attack in Australia, Hanukkah greetings to the Jewish community, and a call for changes to Senate procedures.

In a post dated December 15, 2025, Moore wrote: “I’m praying for the victims and families impacted by the horrific attack at Bondi Beach in Australia this past weekend. This act of antisemitic violence is pure evil.

We stand with our Australian allies and the Jewish community against terror, hatred, and extremism.”

Later that day, he shared a message marking Hanukkah: “Happy Hanukkah to our Jewish friends around the world! May this holiday season bring the blessings of faith, freedom, and perseverance.

Wishing the Jewish community in Alabama and across our nation a joyous and meaningful Festival of Lights.” (December 15, 2025)

Moore also commented on legislative strategy within his party: “Daily reminder that Republicans need to NUKE the filibuster and help @POTUS save America!” (December 15, 2025)

Barry Moore has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Martha Roy. He previously represented his area in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966 and currently residing in Enterprise, Moore graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
