Rep. Barry Moore, who represents Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media highlighting his support for farmers, celebrating the return of college football, and sharing a biblical verse.
On August 22, 2025, Moore praised former President Trump’s legislative efforts for agriculture and emphasized ongoing work for local farmers: “President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill delivered big wins for farmers, but we must keep working. Alabama farmers are some of the hardest working, most God-fearing people in our country. They deserve our best.”
The following day, on August 23, Moore acknowledged the start of the college football season with a brief message: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year. College football is back!”
On August 24, he shared a religious quote from the Bible: ‘”When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12’
Moore has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Martha Roy and previously represented his community in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966 and currently residing in Enterprise, Moore graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
