Rep. Barry Moore, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, used his social media platform this week to express support for recent federal actions impacting farmers and to call for legislative changes in the Senate.

On December 8, 2025, Moore thanked the president for supporting agricultural relief measures: “Thank you to @POTUS for his commitment to deliver much needed relief to our farmers to the tune of $12 billion.

Our farmers have faced high costs and disastrous trade deals due to Joe Biden’s failed administration, but President Trump is rebuilding our nation’s farm economy!”

The following day, Moore urged fellow Republicans in Congress to take action on a key Senate rule: “Daily reminder that Republicans need to NUKE the filibuster and help @POTUS save America!” (December 9, 2025).

Later on December 9, Moore again acknowledged presidential efforts related to farming regulations: “Thank you to @POTUS for ending the extreme regulations implemented by the Biden Administration that raised the cost of farm equipment and ultimately cost the American people more at the grocery store! https://t.co/t8lO1zlacK”

Moore has represented Alabama’s 2nd District in Congress since succeeding Martha Roy in 2021. He previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 until 2018. Born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966, Moore currently resides in Enterprise and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
