Rep. Barry Moore, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, recently shared his views on significant legislative developments and social issues through a series of tweets.
On July 3, 2025, Moore expressed his support for President Trump’s legislative initiative known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” He stated, “President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill gives us the resources to undo Biden’s border invasion and provides the largest tax cut in history for American families.” Moore emphasized his commitment to seeing this legislation enacted by saying he is prepared to wait as long as necessary to achieve its passage.
Later that day, Moore announced the successful passage of the bill with enthusiasm. He tweeted, “President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill just PASSED – and it delivers the largest tax cut in history, funds the border wall, and strengthens our military.” He conveyed pride in standing alongside President Trump in what he described as a fight for America.
In another tweet on July 3rd, Moore addressed the issue of antisemitism. He wrote,“Antisemitism is evil – plain and simple. If we can’t even define it, how can we fight it?” To tackle this issue, he introduced his “Define to Defeat Act,” which aims to establish a clear definition of antisemitism to better identify and confront it legally.
Barry Moore has been serving in Congress since replacing Martha Roy in 2021. Prior to his congressional tenure, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966, Moore currently resides in Enterprise and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University obtained in 1992.
