Barry Moore, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, has recently shared his views on various legislative issues through social media posts. Moore, who replaced Martha Roy in Congress and previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018, has expressed strong opinions on law enforcement and economic policies.
On June 10, 2025, Moore addressed public disorder during emergencies by stating “If you riot, attack police, or destroy property during a state of emergency, you need to leave this country and never come back.” He further expressed pride in co-sponsoring the RIOT Act with Rep. Dan Crenshaw, aimed at deporting individuals involved in such activities.
In another post dated June 11, 2025, Moore highlighted an economic proposal known as President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill. He emphasized its potential impact by stating that it would provide between $7,800 and $13,300 more annually for American families. He urged the Senate to pass the bill promptly: “The Senate must pass this bill and get it to the President’s desk as soon as possible!”
Finally, on June 12, 2025, Moore reflected on his engagement with national leadership by sharing insights from a day spent at the White House. He expressed gratitude for having a president who prioritizes national interests: “It has been a full day of meetings at the White House today – grateful for a President who always puts America First!”
Barry Moore was born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966 and currently resides in Enterprise. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
