Rep. Barry Moore, representing Alabama’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, has been vocal on social media regarding significant political and historical matters. His recent tweets highlight his support for President Trump’s fiscal policies and commemorate historical events.

On June 5, 2025, Moore tweeted about a legislative measure backed by President Trump, stating that “President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers $1.6 trillion in spending cuts – this is the single largest cut to the federal bureaucracy’s wasteful budget in the history of our nation.” He further commented that President Trump did not create the nation’s debt issues but is working towards resolving them.

The following day, on June 6, Moore paid tribute to a pivotal moment in World War II history. He wrote, “On June 6, 1944, Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy to defend freedom. Today, we honor their courage, their sacrifice, and their legacy.”

In another post on June 7, Moore reiterated his support for fiscal reform under President Trump’s administration. He emphasized potential long-term deficit reductions by stating that “In less than five months, President Trump’s Administration has started deficit reduction that could exceed $6.7 trillion over the next ten years.” He indicated that achieving these reductions hinges on passing the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Barry Moore was born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966 and currently resides in Enterprise. With a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University obtained in 1992 and prior service in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018, he brings extensive experience to his congressional role.
