Rep. Barry Moore, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, recently shared several statements on social media criticizing the Biden Administration and expressing support for former President Donald Trump’s policies.
On July 15, Moore addressed federal funding decisions in a post, stating: “Moving illegal aliens across our nation and funding the Hungarian Opposition Forces are two of the insane nonprofit grants under the Biden Administration. I look forward to working with the Trump Administration and @JudiciaryGOP to put a stop to this abuse of tax dollars.”
The following day, July 16, Moore commented on recent developments concerning President Biden’s health disclosures: “President Biden’s doctor plead the Fifth when asked if he was ever instructed to lie about Biden’s health. Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff just plead the Fifth when asked the same question. Americans deserve answers, and House Republicans will continue working to get them.”
In another statement posted on July 18 regarding economic policy under former President Trump, Moore wrote: “As President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill is implemented across the U.S., Alabamians will see a wage increase between $3100-$5600 over the next four years. President Trump continues to Make America Great Again! “
Moore has represented Alabama’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Martha Roy in 2021. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Born in Coffee County in 1966, Moore is currently a resident of Enterprise and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University.
