Rep. Barry Moore, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 2nd district since 2021, shared his views on current legislative matters through a series of tweets on July 1 and July 2, 2025. The congressman, who succeeded Martha Roy in Congress and previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018, emphasized key issues concerning border security and fiscal policies.

On July 1, Moore expressed his concerns regarding a recent vote by Senate Democrats. He stated that their actions “just voted to make your communities less safe” and advocated for the House to advance President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill to ensure law enforcement is adequately equipped to secure the border. His tweet can be accessed here.

Later that day, Moore praised President Trump as a leader for peace with a brief statement: “President Trump continues to prove he is the President for peace!” The post is available here.

On July 2, Moore highlighted the financial implications of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, describing it as delivering “the largest mandatory spending cut in American history.” He characterized this legislative effort as a victory for conservatives and Americans frustrated with government spending inefficiencies. Born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966 and currently residing in Enterprise, Barry Moore graduated from Auburn University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
