Rep. Barry Moore, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 2nd district, published a series of posts on his official social media account in October 2025 addressing issues ranging from religious persecution to government shutdowns.
On October 9, 2025, Moore wrote, “Across the globe, more than 380 million Christians face high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith in Christ, mainly by radical Islamist adhering to Sharia Law. Do we really want to welcome Sharia Law knowing the harm it would cause in American society?”
Later that day, he posted a quote attributed to New York Attorney General Letitia James: “No one is above the law. Justice will prevail.” – Letitia James
On October 10, Moore commented on the ongoing government shutdown debate in Congress: “Chuck Schumer says, ‘every day gets better for us…’, Bernie Sanders confirms this whole shutdown is about Democrat leverage, and a Democrat aide says the government won’t open ‘short of planes falling out of the sky.’ Democrats are telling you who shut down the government.”
Moore has represented Alabama’s 2nd District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. He was born in Coffee County, Alabama in 1966 and resides in Enterprise. Moore earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University in 1992.
